Hi, I’m Allie Wilkinson, an independent multimedia journalist specializing in science, technology, and the environment. I have written for The New York Times, The Washington Post, National Geographic, Popular Science, Forbes, Wired, Scientific American, Discover Magazine, and various other publications in print and on the web. My work was also included in the anthology The Best Science Writing Online 2012, published by the Scientific American imprint at Farrar, Strauss, and Giroux.
I’m also the creator of This Is What A Scientist Looks Like, a community photo project aimed at challenging the stereotypical perception of a scientist.
